Life in the Middle

When people tell me how youthful I look, I often think to myself "That's because my life is forever in slow motion!" LOL. I know it may look like I'm always up to something exciting and my dreams are constantly coming true, but the majority of what you see externally has been many years in the making. For example it took me 15 years to have my first TV show and almost 16 years to finally complete and be on the way to self-publishing my first book this year. And don't even let me get started on all the time it has taken me to receive and be walking in my inner healing, grace, confidence, holistic health, overall wellness, etc. I could go down a very long extensive list of all the "no's" and "not yets Sade" and all the time I have spent in the middle. Delay after delay. Questions and uncertainty. The middle (or doorway) is where you're not where or who you used to be, but you're not quite yet at where you see yourself going.

Don't give up in the middle. There is so much that takes place here. Life is not a destination to get to, it is a journey to be lived and enjoyed. You don't only have to enjoy it when you get what or who you want. You can have joy, peace and hope right now. You can have contentment and gratitude right here. Just because you're experiencing delays doesn't mean it's not meant to be! There are so many amazing things happening behind the scenes that we can't always see. Everything is coming together. Nothing and no one will be wasted.

These days I am less "destination focused" and more present. I am having more fun (even when I feel uncomfortable). If God is not anxious or in a rush then I don’t have to be either. Today is a gift. This moment is a gift. So suit up, get some popcorn and become well acquainted with the middle!! There is purpose in it. There is good stuff and life here too.
